PHOTOCRAFT FANS / THE FIELD GUIDE

PhotoCraft questions, answered

A practical introduction to downloads, formats, privacy, and this independent site.

What is PhotoCraft?

An open-source image editor with layers, masks, adjustments, and PSD support. The project is still in early alpha. Check the official documentation for the exact capabilities of your release.

Is this the official website?

No. PhotoCraft Fans is an independent resource. We link software downloads to the upstream project and provide our own learning content and starting files.

Is it a complete Photoshop replacement?

Not at this stage. Test your own workflow, especially fonts, PSD exchange, effects, and plug-ins. Keep important originals and a working fallback.

Are the resources free for commercial use?

Our original SVG and CUBE files are dedicated under CC0. That permission does not cover PhotoCraft’s code, third-party fonts, logos, or other people’s assets.

Have these files been tested in PhotoCraft?

The structure and numerical ranges of the files are checked during the website build. Independent import and rendering tests in the desktop app are pending, and this is stated on every resource page.

Are browser tools the PhotoCraft web app?

No. Our image tool is a small local canvas utility for resizing and raster export. It does not edit PSD layers. The upstream project provides separate information about its own WebAssembly build.

Do you upload my images or bug reports?

The browser tools have no upload endpoint. They process files and report text in this tab. Clicking an external link or submitting an issue on GitHub is a separate action governed by that service.
